Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
DOCOOL is operated by [Legal entity name], registered at [registered address] (“DOCOOL”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). We are the controller of personal data described in this Policy unless we state otherwise. Contact: privacy@docool.app.
2. What we collect
Depending on how you use DOCOOL, we may collect:
- Waitlist information: your email address and the date you joined.
- Account information: email, sign-in details, display name, and subscription or credit status.
- Creative inputs: photos, optional text prompts, optional voice recordings or transcriptions, selected styles, and generated results.
- Device and service information: app version, device model, operating system, diagnostics, request status, and security logs.
- Purchase information: transaction identifiers and entitlement status. Payment card details are handled by the relevant app store or payment provider.
3. How we use information
We use personal data to:
- provide photo transformation, account, support, and waitlist services;
- authenticate users, maintain credits, process purchases, and prevent abuse;
- diagnose failures, secure the service, and improve reliability;
- meet legal, accounting, and safety obligations; and
- send launch or service communications where permitted. You can opt out of marketing messages at any time.
We do not use your photos or prompts to train a general-purpose AI model unless we first tell you clearly and obtain any consent required by law.
4. Legal bases
Where GDPR or a similar law applies, our legal bases may include performance of a contract, your consent, our legitimate interests in operating and securing DOCOOL, and compliance with legal obligations. The applicable basis depends on the activity. We will not use legitimate interests where your rights override those interests.
5. Sharing and processors
We may share data with service providers that process it for us, such as cloud hosting, authentication, image-generation, analytics or error monitoring, email delivery, customer support, and app-store billing providers. We require providers to protect data and use it only for the agreed service. We do not sell personal information. The final list of providers and countries must be completed before launch.
6. Photos, faces, and voice
Photos may contain faces, voices, locations, or other information about you and other people. Only upload content you are allowed to process. DOCOOL is designed to respect people in your photos, but generated results can vary. Voice features may be disabled or unavailable in some releases. We do not treat photo analysis as a medical, biometric-identification, or identity-verification service.
7. Retention and deletion
We keep information only as long as needed for the purpose collected, unless a longer period is required by law. The exact retention periods for source photos, results, logs, account records, and waitlist emails must be stated here before launch. You may request deletion through the app or by contacting us. Some records may need to be retained for fraud prevention, accounting, disputes, or legal compliance.
8. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of your data, and to withdraw consent. You may also complain to your local data protection authority. We may need to verify your request. Contact privacy@docool.app.
9. Children
DOCOOL is not directed to children under [age]. We do not knowingly collect children’s personal data in violation of applicable law. If you believe a child has provided data, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
10. Changes
We may update this Policy when the service, providers, or law changes. We will post the new version with a new “Last updated” date and provide any additional notice required by law.
